2009 Conference Overview
Denendeh Development Corporation (DDC) will host the 2009 NWT Aboriginal Business Conference and Trade Show in Yellowknife, September 22 – 24, 2009.
The conference theme is “Establishing Economic Cooperation”, recognizing the global nature of the northern economy, promoting aboriginal business, governments and industries to work together to benefit all. This year’s conference will profile large scale infrastructure projects and investment opportunities in the Northwest Territories.
We are in the midst of great change and opportunity. Dene First Nations, Metis and Inuvialuit have made advances with aboriginal rights settlements and numerous successful business ventures. As you are aware, the land and resources in the NWT are vast.
The conference agenda is posted to this website.
The 2009 trade show will offer conference participants an exceptional opportunity to gain valuable networking leads and business contacts, and to promote their own companies or agencies. This year, the trade show has location has been moved to the main conference area to promote increased exposure to target markets and new business opportunities.
DDC expects a national delegation of more than two-hundred delegates, representing aboriginal, northern and southern business people, industry, regional and community corporations, and youth to attend the 2009 conference.
